Photos: Michael Jackson’s Doctor Conrad Murray Trial Shocker: Corpse and Slurred Speech (PHOTOS + VIDEO)

More than two years after the King of Pop Michael Jackson died, the trial of Jackson's doctor Conrad Murray kicked off, Tuesday, with the jury being shown a shocking photo of Jackson's corpse and made to hear a recording of the singer's slurred speech.

Conrad Murray, personal physician of Michael Jackson, has been charged with Michael Jackson’s death. Murray has been accused of giving a powerful anesthetic propofol to the singer. If Murray is found guilty, he would face up to four year in prison.

"That misplaced trust cost Michael Jackson his life," prosecutor David Walgren said in his opening statement. Walgren said that Murray gave a dose of propofol that caused Michael Jackson’s death.

Walgren also shocked the courtroom by showing the photo of Jackson lying lifeless in the hospital bed. Prosecution also had an audio recording Jackson’s voice under the influence of propofol.

On the audio recording, Jackson’s voice was slow, unclear and possibly numb. However, what he had to say was as follows:

"We have to be phenomenal. When people leave this show, when people leave my show, I want them to say, 'I've never seen anything like this in my life.' Go. Go. I've never seen nothing like this. Go. It's amazing. He's the greatest entertainer in the world. I'm taking that money, a million children, children's hospital, the biggest in the world. Michael Jackson Children's Hospital."

Michael Jackson’s voice was recorded on Murray’s iPhone.

In addition, Kenny Ortega, the co-director of ‘This is it’ was the first witness called by prosecution.

"I was expecting him each day and it became this continued absence," Ortega said. "I was only told that it was scheduling."

"He was upset that I didn't allow Michael to rehearse the night before and that I sent him home. He said I should stop trying to be an amateur doctor and psychologist and be the director and allow Michael's ... health to him. I said it wasn't my choice. It was Michael's request to sit out and watch the show and I felt that was a far safer place for him to be."

The prosecutor attacked Murray by pointing to the testimony of Kenny Ortega.

On the other hand, Ed Chernoff, Murray’s defense attorney, delivered the opening statement.

"While Michael Jackson was frustrated because he could not sleep, frustrated because his doctor refused to give him a drug that hepreferred, that he wanted, he did an act without his doctor's knowledge, without his doctor's permission," Chernoff said.

He also claimed that Jackson took the final dose of propofol without Murray’s permission.

"There was no CPR, no doctor, no paramedic, no machine that was going to revive Michael Jackson," Chernoff said. "He died so rapidly, so instantly, he didn't have time to close his eyes."

Jackson’s family members were in the courtroom on Tuesday, including his father Joseph, Mother Katherine, sisters LaToya and Janet, and brothers Jermaine, Randy, and Tito.

Murray had entered the courtroom holding his mother’s hand. Murray has pleaded not guilty.
