Photos: Anonymous Hacks BART Police Web site, Leaks Private Data of 102 Police Officers

Hactivist Anonymous has done it again - it has hacked into the BART police website in San Francisco, publishing 102 police officers' personal information, including their home addresses and email accounts plus passwords.

"Leaked personal data, emails and passwords for 102 #BART police officers," a post on Twitter in the name of "@YourAnonNews." read Wednesday. A link to a website that contained the hacked data was also posted.

This is the latest hacking in the memory of Charles Blair Hill, a homeless, who was shot to death on July 3 on the Civic Center Station platform, after he threw a bottle at the police and then approached a BART officer and displayed a weapon.

The outraged people have protested the fatal shooting by stopping trains in the BART station for several times. Because they organized the demonstrations with smartphone and text messages, the BART officers disrupted the cell phone service last Thursday, which in turn stirred more criticism and attack.

Earlier on Sunday, Anonymous hacked the BART Web site, leaking 2,001 names of users as well as their passwords. The addresses and phone numbers of BART users were also released.

On Monday evening, Anonymous organized another protest at BART station, leading to closure of four station in downtown San Francisco in the rush-hour.

"Many of us are activists with the voice for the voiceless," a message from Anonymous posted on Tumblr.com Wednesday after hacking. "Push the wrong buttons and we will exploit what needs to be released to the public. That doesn't mean we condone publications of personal information of innocent bystanders. That is not what Anonymous believes in or follows. We are here for the people, to share to the world the fallacies' that our governments' [sic] Love to entertain us with."

They concluded by saying, "We are Anonymous. We are Legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Expect us!"
