'Smile' singer Lily Allen, who married long-time friend Sam Cooper in England on June 11, is pregnant for about 6 weeks.

Allen, 26, married Cooper, 33, at the St. James the Great Church in Gloucestershire. It was at the wedding breakfast that Cooper announed that Allen was pregnant for about 6 weeks.

The news came as a pleasant surprise to many as Allen had suffered two devastating miscarriages in the past and last year, pregnancy complications afflicted her with sepsis.

"There were tears all around. This is the happiest day of Lily and Sam's lives and they are so in love. This is the icing on the wedding cake!" a friend told the Daily Mail.

Allen carried bouquet of white roses, and her fahter, 50-year-old actor and musician Keith Allen gave her away to Cooper.

Allen could be seen sporting the baby bump through her white wedding dress, which was designed by French designer Delphine Manivet.

"It's beautiful that she is pregnant, and I am very happy for her. She is very happy about that – it is something wonderful," Manivet told the Telegraph.

Allen and Cooper were friends for several years but fell in love in July 2009. Cooper, who is a decorator and business owner, made the proposal last Christmas.

"We've never had one argument and there's nothing about him that annoys me," Allen said.
